Dou Itashimashite Hello there. You've stumbled upon Charmaine's blog.Remember to tag before you leave. :D
Oh, it's just another fangirl. I'm Charmaine and I live in sunny Singapore (means that I'm located near the equator, where it's summer, summer, and when I wake up the next day, it's still summer). I don't usually expect presents on 7 April, but if you're feeling unusually happy you can give me one on that day. (:
I'm currently crazy over... Yama-pair <3

Warning: Fangirl post. Just skip. If you're reading this, I suggest that you ought not waste time on this post, but instead, TAG ME! (: I spent the entire night yesterday watching all 11 episodes of MAOU! Ohno gives off a really awesome aura. His real personality makes people belittle him. Spacing out. Man of few words. Then when he sings. Dances. Acts. WOAH. I start to think, "How hard has he been practising, exactly?" Plus his art. RIIDA SUGOI! xD He keeps amazing me with new things! Not forgetting Ikuta Toma. He played the role really well. Really well. Couldn't see a trace of Nakatsu in him. Back to Ohno ^^ Now I don't know whether Aiba or Ohno's my niban. Ichiban remains the same. Ohno still can't replace my ichiban, no matter how artistically inclined he is. (Ironically my ichiban is so not artistically inclined BUT I STILL LOVE HIS DRAWINGS xD) Ah, Ohno, you amazing riida. You played the role of Maou really really well. Your lines were calm yet.. your significant pauses were so intense. Now my ICHIBAN! I just watched Episode 9 of The Quiz Show II! Can't wait for Episode 10 to be subbed. I'll miss Sho when the drama ends (technically speaking it has already ended in Japan). The amount of expressions he can project on his face never ceases to amaze (and amuse) me. Then when his tears fall.. it hurts. This always happens. It's annoying, really. I would feel better if I cry with the characters but the tears don't come and so my heart feels like it's been wrenched and squashed. When Zero-One (Zettai Kareshi) died, I couldn't cry. When Kouichi cried (Ryusei no Kizuna), woah that really hurt. The stupid tears wouldn't come. When Naruse (Maou) wanted Naoto to kill him, and Naoto died instead, then Naruse died after that, the stupid tears STILL wouldn't come. Then when Kamiyama (The Quiz Show II) cried just now, my eyes only got wet because I was yawning. What's wrong with my tear ducts -_- --- If you've managed to read this far, this is what you should do next. The dramas mentioned above are one of the best I've ever watched. I highly recommend them. Absolute Boyfriend/Zettai Kareshi: Robot maker, Kronos Heaven, finally develops "Night Tenjo", the perfect male humanoid programmed to be devoted and completely loyal to his lover. The company chooses temp worker Izawa Riko to take part in a 5-day free trial. At first, Riko only sees Night as a household appliance. But when she finds out how deep Night's devotion to herself is, Riko finds herself falling in love with him. Joining the love triangle is Asamoto Soshi, a distinguished young executive at her company who has feelings for her. --Fuji TV Ryusei no Kizuna: “When we grow up… We’ll kill him together”. Koichi, Taisuke, and Shizuna are three siblings whose parents had been brutally murdered when they were just in elementary school, and they vowed to avenge their death. Fourteen years later, their vengeful plan unravels countless new facts. A shocking revelation leads to an overwhelmingly emotional ending. What will become of the siblings who have lived their lives solely in reliance of their bond alone? --DramaWiki Maou: This drama is a remake of the popular suspense drama The Devil that was aired in Korea last year. Ohno Satoshi will be playing the role of a two-faced lawyer, one of which is a kind hearted soul and the other who is plotting revenge, using his brilliant mind, on the person who killed his relative. On the other hand, Ikuta Toma will play the double lead role of the man, who has become a detective due to his dark past, who is pursuing the mysterious series of murders and fighting against the devil (maou). --DramaWiki *The Quiz Show II: Sakurai plays the host of a live TV quiz program. On the show, contestants who achieve 7 correct answers win 10 million yen, and those who get 8 correct answers will have one of their wishes granted by the TV network. But while the questions start off innocently enough, as the game progresses, the questions gradually delve into the contestants' past crimes or indiscretions, presenting them with the dilemma of having to confess their guilt in order to win. Sakurai's character also has a mysterious past. Before becoming the show's host, an accident had left him in a vegetative state for six years, which also resulted in him losing most of his memories. --Tokyograph *Only episode 1 to 4 has been uploaded onto MySoju. If you like the drama and would like to continue watching, let me know and I'll let you know where to find the rest. I won't bite. In fact I'd be over the moon. I can discuss the show with you xD Thanks for reading (:

Apparrently ants can't survive in a fridge
, 4:08 PM
A conversation between me and my brother. Me: There are ants in the fridge! Brother: Where? Let me see. Me: *shows him the cap of the unopened bottle of Wintermelon Tea that I just took out from the fridge* Brother: Oh, those poor frozen dudes... Me: How did they even get in there?! Basically I was just thirsty so I went to the fridge to take out a bottle of Wintermelon Tea. Then I saw 1 dead ant on the cap, 1 dead ant on the side, 2 dead ants on the base. Apparently they were frozen to death. Ewww. They probably came from the dinner table. Before the bottle was placed in the fridge, they were placed on the dinner table for some time, since the fridge was already full. So someone probably didn't notice the ants and put in the bottle straight into the fridge.
New skin

Yeah, well, I finally got tired of the previous skin. The colour was getting on my nerves. This one looks like it might last a while. The brown's soothing. (: If you like this skin, you can download it in my blogskins account. ( here )
Arashi Concert in Singapore (petition)
Friday, June 12, 2009, 2:04 PM
Hey, there's a petition circulating around the online communities. For the sake of those without LJ (Livejournal), I'll post the petition link here: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/arashiconinsg/ This petition can be signed by anyone who is willing to attend an Arashi concert in Singapore. You need not be someone who is currently living in Singapore. You need not be an Arashi fan. If you are willing to come, that's enough. I don't know if the person who set up the petition has a target in mind, but the bare minimum we'll need is 10,000. The number of signatures, as of this post, have only reached 129. C'mon people, let's help to make this happen! PS. Even if you don't want to sign it, if you know of anyone who likes Japan/if you have any Japanese neighbours/classmates/co-workers, please pass this message on to them. I'd truly appreciate it. The entire Singapore Arashi fan community would be extremely grateful. :D THANK YOU!
Expectations are officially healthy
Tuesday, June 9, 2009, 10:18 PM
okay, a rant. just ignore me. Expectations are often viewed as unhealthy pressure (especially when coming from parents). But from what I've experienced, I think that it can also be viewed.. sort of like, if people who expect me to do something/expect that I can do xxx with ease, it indicates that they believe in me/trust in me/want me to be able to do better because they know that this is not my best.
